This past weekend Success through Self (STS) Academy held their 4^th Annual Spelling Bee as part of the Safety & Awareness Fair held at Highland Squares Shopping Center in Pittsburg. All eight elementary schools were invited to participate in the spelling bee. The event was organized by STS' Elementary School Coordinator Cindy Plua, with assistance provided by Kisha Lee, Felicia Tyree and Auto Plua. STS Board President Phyllis Gordon was one of the Judges. A special thanks was also extended to Jackie Seeno and her family for the use of the building for this event.

We had some great students who came out and made their site proud!

Additional thanks, to the Pittsburg Unified School District After School Program for the donations of wonderful prizes and to the site coordinators for your help in organizing the Spelling Contest at your sites and sending your finalists.
