Background
NIXLE was first brought to my attention, yesterday, by Mayor Nancy Parent, as another useful source of information.
She's so right. My very first visit there instantly yielded information on breaking developments from the Police Department -- including insights into a very localized (and most inconvenient) power failure; an announcement recognizing high civic achievement of Theresa Miller (please see this PCJ Bulletin); and yesterday's special awards ceremony honoring the people of the Pittsburg PD (please see this PCJ bulletin for a description of this event).
And that's just a start.
