Now in our 10th big year!    ___________________________________________ Don't forget Dad...Father's Day is in one week! Weekend of June 13 & 14, 2014     ON STAGE -The California Magic Variety Show with your host - Gerry Griffin This weekend we host the California Magic variety show.  Many magicians will be performing on our stage this weekend. This means you will get to see a great sampling of the talented performers that regularly appear on the California Magic Club stage. We have such a talented group of magicians that make up California Magic, AND it is Father's Day on Sunday, so there are two big nights to bring Dad out for a great evening of good food and fun!  _____________________________________ Here is one of the delightful entertainers you'll be seeing on stage in our Variety Show...  Magician Extraordinaire - JOHN GARDENIER    ...and while I'm at it, let me tell you about my friend John.  It wasn't just the puzzle part of the Rubik's Cube that so delighted John when he was a child. It was a magic trick that his brother did with it that blew his mind. John obsessed over how he did it, until he snuck into his brother's room, got the Cube, and figured it out. So began John's odyssey into the world of magic. Once the fire was lit at that young age, John poured over everything he could find on the subject in the school library. Using mainly cards and coins -because they were cheap and easily accessible around his house - he enjoyed performing for friends and family, and seeing the expressions on their faces when he fooled them. John spent years practicing, honing his skills and expanding his repertoire. Eventually, he was encouraged by his good friend Gerry Griffin to perform professionally. Taking Gerry's words of encouragement, John has been doing exactly that, since 2007. Aside from his appearances at the California Magic Club, John performs at a variety of other venues, from private parties to corporate events.   Gerry Griffin - your host _________________________________ ...AND besides Father's Day   Birthday, anniversary, date night with your sweetheart, what are you celebrating? Friends,

This is such a charming, good time.  Gerry, the warm, smiling gentleman below is a fine, thoughtful, attentive host and an accomplished magician who loves his craft and makes you feel so welcome. He's very funny.  He seems to enjoy himself as much as his guests do.  The food is great. The main show is top-notch.  The roving magicians entertain and delight each table with their own intriguing personal sub-shows.   You leave with warm memories.  It's a super place for yourselves and to entertain out-of-town guests -- or to celebrate birthdays, and the like.  Not far from the government buildings of our County seat.

WOW!  900 SHOWS!  Way to go, Gerry!  That's a lot of lovely memories for one human to create.

Don't believe me?  Check out this link into mighty Yelp.

How does he do this?  My cousin, John Robinson, just sent this to me and it has been correct every time (so far).

I thought you might find this interesting.  (I'll bet David C.'s the life of any party!)

THIS WILL BLOW  YOU AWAY!!!!

Now  send  it to some of your Friends, so they can have  fun   also...

Afternote:  I figured out how he does this.  Can you?   He will never be incorrect.  Clue:  Check your assumptions.  Misdirection applied.  I was asking the wrong questions for a while. (Good little life-lesson, here)
