| June 15, 2012 Dear Friend: Today President Obama announced a new immigration policy that will help young people who were brought to this country from abroad as children. Under this new policy, young people who would have qualified under the DREAM Act - legislation I strongly support - will be able to remain in the United States without the constant threat of deportation. To read more, please click here. I applaud the President for helping these talented young people continue to contribute to the country they call home. It was the right thing to do, and now Congress must take the next step by passing comprehensive reforms that will fix our nation’s broken immigration system. Sincerely, Barbara Boxer United States Senator
