Emergency Meeting of County Board of Supervisors
About an hour ago, Supervisor Glover posted the following notice on his Facebook page:
After my conference call Wednesday afternoon, mediated by Sen. Mark DeSaulnier, the county and labor were able to come to terms.
But we can't afford to wait another minute if we are to get the call center operational by July as mandated by the state.
That's why I'm calling for an emergency meeting of the Board of Supervisors to make a decision on where the call center and its 200 jobs should be located -- Concord or Richmond?
The Supervisors will hold an emergency meeting Friday (March 15) at 4 p.m. at the Board Chambers, 651 Pine St. in Martinez, to decide where the call center will be located.
