Dear Friend:

On this “Passport Day in the USA,” the State Department is giving U.S. citizens the chance to apply for passports on Saturday, March 9th, from 10am to 3pm without an appointment.  Normally local Passport Agencies see customers only by appointment, but on Passport Day you can walk in and receive routine service – or get expedited service for an additional fee if you need your passport in a hurry.

You can take advantage of this opportunity at Regional Passport Agencies and at many other facilities throughout the state of California.  To find the location nearest you, please click here.

As you may know, it has become increasingly important for U.S. citizens to have passports because travelers crossing the international border must now have them to reenter the United States.

For more information about Passport Day in the USA, please click here or browse the Passport Agency website at travel.state.gov.
Sincerely,

Barbara Boxer
United States Senator
