*Death Sentences at Public Animal Shelters Need Not Be Final
At the 7 August "National Night Out," at the Small World Park, I became aware of Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).
- You are encouraged to visit the site and take 5 minutes to see what this wonderful idea is all about.
- You may just find room in your lives for these doomed animals.
- And, just by being aware, you may have opportunities, over the normal course of your days, to make others aware of this very humane effort.
- And, even if your circumstances won't permit you to do more, you will probably draw inspiration from yet more evidence of the kindness and compassion contained in the human heart.
The following statement was taken from the "About" page on their website, ARF.NET -- Please visit their site for a closer look
Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) saves the lives of countless animals each year whose time has run out in public shelters and who are scheduled to be killed. ARF's team of trained volunteers and expert staff make sure every animal receives proper nutrition, medical evaluation and treatment, training and lots of love as they await their new forever home. ARF's shelter touches the lives of thousands of animals and people each year.
YOU CAN ALSO BECOME AN ARF FOSTER
"Fostering is a great opportunity to care for a cat, dog, kittens or puppies, without the long-term commitment:
- ARF provides ALL supplies
- Full-service clinic provides all medical care
- Foster Coordinator available to assist you
- You provide LOVE - ARF finds the forever homes"
