Consider that documents containing your name, address, other personal data may make it safely into your garbage/recycler. But what happens after it leaves your control? Can it blow away at the garbage dump or otherwise fall into the wrong hands, to your great disadvantage?
TIPS:
- Make good friends with your paper shredder or
- If the item is unsuitable for shredding, cut out the I.D. info and destroy it (cut to bits, burn it, etc.)
