1. Purpose
Since our political leaders are so crucial to our successful pursuit of the "good life," as a people, it pays to watch them in action. To see what they're trying to do and why. To see what's left to do. To see where we can help or advise.
The news media does a great job, but sometimes we need to see our leaders' activities, as a whole, rather than generally piece-meal -- and we need this timed for our convenience, rather than as the days and events unroll.
2. For Now
Here are some of the things our elected leaders, from our State, are doing for us in Congress and need us to know. I have started with our Senators, but will grow this list to include our Representatives, State Senators, and Assembly Members. Then, Counties and Cities. I'll have to do this, a little at a time, but that's where this is heading.
3. I hope you'll enjoy this fascinating glimpse into the exercise of democratic power in this great land:
- The Entire California Delegation to Congress -- a complete list of California Senators and Representatives, with links to their official websites and a map depicting their territorial districts.
- Senator Feinstein's Press Releases (Jan 2006 to Present) -- and here's her official website.
- Senator Boxer's Press Releases (From pretty far in the past to Present) -- and here's her official website
4. PLEASE NOTE
You can see link-lists for most of our entire political structure, top-to-bottom, AND A WHOLE LOT MORE, by going to this blog's "Quick Access" page
- By pressing "Quick," at any time (up there on the horizontal menu bar)
- OR by going to "Help: The Blog Tool Kit & Back-Up Menu" (which you can also find on the blog "bulletin board") and then click "Quick" on the menu table, there.
