FROM THE
"I WISH SOMEONE HAD TOLD ME"
DEPARTMENT
This gratefully acknowledges, Graduate Fasttrack, as the source of this superb graphic.
Now, Snopes.Com, the fact-checking industry leader, has determined that Bill Gates did not say these words. Here is a link to their typically fascinating analysis of this case. Be that as it may, this poster seems to contain a mighty reasonable parsing of useful, timeless truths -- for wide and healthy digestion and nourishment -- if for nothing else than as a basis for further discussion.
And I can't resist saying...
At the beginning of the poster it says, "Love him or hate him..." etc. in reference to Bill Gates. Now my question is -- who on earth, but a presumably very rare few, if any, can sensibly claim reason to hate this wonderful, extraordinary human being -- who has done so much to change the world for the better -- AND CONTINUES TO DO SO? A marvelous husband-wife partnership who generously gives so much to so many -- having done so for many years -- and in so many ways that count!
I roundly reject such unfairness and solemnly testify, from the depths of my soul, that HERE IS A RIGHTEOUS HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM WHO ADORN THE SPECIES AND THIS LIFE -- and who deserve our eternal gratitude, respect, and admiration. May they continue to prosper, as they so richly deserve -- and continue to self-transcend, as they are doing so magnificently. I'm honored to breathe the same air as they -- and cheer them to the skies!
